Our priorities are providing immediate assistance to affected children and families – including safe water, shelter and emergency kits, as well as education support. Updated (25th): Our humanitarian response teams are assessing the damage and identifying communities that are most in need of assistance (21st). During the first 90 days of the response, Plan International will distribute food, household items, blankets and mattresses, and kits for personal hygiene and purifying water. We will focus on keeping children safe and protected as a priority, setting up child-friendly spaces and temporary learning centres where girls, boys and adolescents can relax and take part in sports, music, art and other playful activities that will help them regain a sense of normality.
